Renshi McElwee, Is the head instructor of the dojo, brings an impressive 40 years of experience in Shorin Ryu Shorinkan, where he has achieved the esteemed rank of 6th-degree black belt. Additionally, he holds a 2nd-degree black belt in Kokusairengokai Kobudo, specializing in weapons training. Renshi McElwee is not only a master in martial arts but also a dedicated mentor committed to building a better community grounded in respect, honor, and discipline. His teachings emphasize the importance of these values, aiming to instill a sense of responsibility and camaraderie among students, fostering personal growth and unity both within the dojo and beyond.

JAVON BORST

Javon Borst, Shorin Ryu karate instructor

Sensei Borst Is A 3rd degree black belt and has dedicated the past five years to studying Shorin Ryu Shorinkan karate, immersing himself in its rich traditions and rigorous techniques. His commitment to mastering the art is evident through his active participation in numerous competitions, where he has showcased his skills and sportsmanship. Additionally, Sensei Borst has attended various seminars, learning from esteemed practitioners and further deepening his understanding of the discipline. Driven by a passion for martial arts, he is eager to share his knowledge and experience, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment for his students. Through his guidance, he aims to inspire the next generation of karateka, instilling in them the physical skills and the values of respect, perseverance, and humility inherent in Shorin Ryu Shorinkan.

Adam Reed, children's martial arts instructor

Mr. Reed has been a dedicated assistant in the kids' martial arts class, drawing from two years of experience in the discipline to inspire young learners. With a genuine passion for helping children reach their goals, he creates an encouraging environment where they can build confidence and develop their skills. His commitment to their growth is evident in the way he patiently guides each child through challenges, celebrating their successes along the way. Mr. Reed’s enthusiasm for martial arts and his belief in the potential of every child makes him a valuable mentor and role model in their journey
